HELP SPREAD THE WORD!
July 30, 2008
Dear Brothers,The officers and I wish to invite you to actively participate in securing the month of March each year as "Irish American Heritage Month" for the Armed Forces of the United States. Each member of the Marines, Navy, Army, and Air Force would benefit from our effort!
This decision has been made in conjunction with the mission statement of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. Help to spread the word!
Thank you,
Billy McNamara
President
Request to Action
The Society of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the awareness of the cultural achievements of the Irish.
Accordingly, the Officers who attended the presentation fully support the action of requesting to have the Army, Navy and Air Force observe Irish-American Heritage Month! It is most appropriate for each Friendly Sons member to contact our two United State Senators and your Congressional Representative as soon as possible. A form letter is provided by following the link below. You may use this letter as a framework for your consideration. You may want to write your own words to express your own thoughts. Mail addresses, fax numbers, and telephone numbers for our elected representatives are also provided by following the link below. Let us all act quickly on this action. If we are successful, then the achievements and contributions of Irish-Americans will receive massive visibility in the Army, Navy, and Air Force. We owe this action to our Irish-American ancestors, ourselves, and future generations of Irish-Americans!
